Yalezo Njuguna, simply known as Yazz, is a multi-disciplinary writer, filmmaker, cultural producer and artist with over a decade of experience professionally working within film, media, music and entertainment. Through his work co-founding Enraptured Odyssey & BAI Foundation, one of Njuguna’s personal missions is to provoke audiences and industry peers alike, to dream wider & deepen the understanding of what the African creative landscape can be. This mission carries into multiple industry-building and culture-pushing projects Njuguna has pioneered and propelled through initiatives like HEATSKRS, Afriquan Film & Next Gen Greats. These projects have made great strides in illuminating African filmmakers, young artists & the developing creative landscape in great depth on festival stages, industry spaces, radio, digital content, written publications and more.
He is currently recognized by DC100 on their 2025 list of Young Creative & Cultural Innovators Shaping South Africa's Future.
